DEER HUNTING TIPS & SECRETS

I don't know how much success you've had but I had serious trouble when I tried to find a good book about deer hunting.

Sure, there are plenty of different books out there - all promising to be the greatest and best - but none of them ever actually taught me the real secrets, those tips and tricks that when you read them make instant sense, like a light going off in your head!

Deer Hunting Secrets is written in a clear, easy to follow way that walks you through the different parts of hunting for deer that you need to master.

As you work your way through each section you'll find over a hundred secrets, clearly marked and embedded in each section and chapter.

Joe Pineland is rightly known as 'The Rainman' of the hunting world for his immense knowledge and experience and it certainly comes across to you as you read.

The book also uses a lot of photographs to really illustrate a point and help you understand what is being taught. Joe even uses these pictures to help you learn, first by showing you some examples and then by getting you to try and spot what's just been taught in another picture.

Is there a downside to Deer Hunting Secrets?

Well, just a small one. Joe Pineland is, without doubt, the 'Rainman' of deer hunting but a web page designer he isn't!

The web page that details what his book covers is crammed with detail - and reading through it can be a little bit difficult at times but - keep going, it is worth it.

He also has a couple of chapters of the book available for free download so you can try before you decide! Grab them and read them and if you don't learn at least three new secrets and tips as well as enjoy the reading - I'll be seriously surprised!

Another good book on deer hunting, no question about it.

Also with an 8 week no questions asked guarantee, Deer Seeker covers all the different aspects of hunting down the deer and making a successful addition to your trophy list.

Corey's Deer Seeker book is also excellent in the level of detail it goes into to dealing with your butcher when you have taken in your buck. Best section on that topic I've seen and for those who like their venison - well worth the money buying the book just to get the tips about how to make sure you get YOUR meat back and ensure that you get the best cut - which most butchers keep for themselves as no one normally knows about it!

Cory also enjoys collecting his trophies through archery and delves deeply into this topic, with some excellent tips on how to make sure you get the best equipment for a fraction of the price most people pay!

Has to be said, this book is honestly worth the price and I'd be surprised to find anyone asking for their money back or failing to improve - whatever their original level of skill before reading.

So why only three stars?

Well, an honest answer is twofold. Corey's book is good, no question - but Joe's book clearly gives across his pure love of deer hunting and that, for me, makes for a better reading and learning experience.

And secondly - I was a bit miffed to find that once I bought Deer Seeker - I had to email Corey with my purchase number and then wait until he sent it to me as a .zip file and then activated it with a username and password! Joe's Deer Hunting Secrets was a straight download and print with me in my fave chair reading with a coffee!
