How To Build A Hovercraft

How To Build A Hovercraft In 30 Days

How to build a hovercraft in 30 days - that used to be my target.

When I was a child, I used to have to take the ferry to get from the island I lived on to the school on the mainland. What a drag that was - the ferry was always slow, smelly and took ages to load and unload.

Then along came the hovercraft. It was amazing, a complete revelation - as well as a revolution, overthrowing the old ways for the new.

To a schoolboy, anything that can actually move across water by floating on a giant cushion of air was gobsmackingly amazing and very, very cool!

The love affair was struck and has been with me ever since. I used to sit in this throbbing, bobbing machine and try and work out what I would need in order to build a hovercraft.

Naturally, hovercraft plans - if you want to learn how to build a simple hovercraft you need some sort of hovercraft blueprints.

Materials - what could I build it from? Somehow, I didn't get the impression my mom would be too happy to see me stripping her vacuum to a bare engine to put into my homemade hovercraft.

That was where my dreams of how to build a hovercraft in 30 days finally came to rest. Foiled by a lack of supplies and a lack of pocket money to buy bits with!

Until recently, that is.

I have found an amazingly simple hovercraft design book, detailing exactly how to build a hovercraft. The only difference is it can be done in just 12 hours if you want - and you still don't need that much in the way of pocket money! (Probably a good thing to - at 44 I still don't have much spare!)

What makes this book of hovercraft plans and blueprints so good, why do I rate it highly?

Firstly - I like the price! $27.00 is , well let's face it, seriously cheap for such a subject.

So does cheap mean poor quality?

No, for once it doesn't.

For example, look at this shot below of the actual plans that are in your book!

These are quality plans - exceptionally well illustrated, well written and very clear, simple and easy to follow. This thing almost builds itself!

Look at the actual specs of what it is you're going to build. This is no simple cardboard and tape hash job - this is the real deal, built to not only last more than 5 minutes use but is also built to perform!
